Kadal Kitchen was a dream, a passion, and a thought of serving authentic seafood to our people. The dream and thought was by none other than, "MY WIFE", who is very passionate about cooking and serving the best of the taste. When this was told to me, I really wanted to make this happen as serving our people has always been there in me. Indeed we were under much pressure as we wanted to give the best of authentic seafood, although we belong to a fishermen's family, it was not easy for us to set up Kadal Kitchen to where it is today. We also have a dedicated fishermen's team, fishing only for Kadal Kitchen, this makes us very exclusive. Talking about the taste, there is a secrecy behind the excellent taste of every dish at Kadal Kitchen, as we use a secret ingredient which has been passed on from the real fishermen's generations.

Love the food here, our second time here and it was really good. The service was amazing plus recommendation of items were also excellent. Will surely come back each time we visit chennai.
It was good, but multiple menu items were singular in flavor. Also, there was too much cilantro in the food. I was concerned that the restaurant smelled a little like incense. I would like to see the menu expanded a bit as it is completely local in flavor. For example Fried shrimp with olive oil and garlic, etc.
We had our lunch , mud crab is must try dish , along with prawns golden fry , king fish tawa fry , and all thali is good . In all we were treated right and the experience was good. P.s - They dont speak any other language apart from tamil ( a bit of english )
